A new restaurant on East Seventh Street is expected to open by January.
The Hightower, 1209 E. Seventh St., will be a new concept from Executive Chef Chad Dolezal and General Manager Vic Farnsworth.
Dolezal and Farnsworth previously worked together at El Arbol, a steakhouse and South American–themed restaurant that closed in 2011 after a year and a half in business.
The new project will specialize in new American food. A full menu has yet to be finalized, but possible entrees include grilled radicchio, grilled octopus, fried boudin and smoked tofu, among other items. www.thehightoweraustin.com
