The Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas, or FIRST, has awarded Lake Travis ISD a rating of "superior achievement" for the 11th consecutive year.

"As school budgets statewide get more and more lean each year, it is imperative that we continue to make difficult yet responsible decisions regarding our financial operations," LTISD Superintendent Brad Lancaster said in a news release. "In particular, this rating speaks well of our low administrative expenditures and our optimal fund balance."

FIRST measures five areas of a district's fiscal management: critical indicators, fiscal responsibility, budgeting, personnel and cash management. LTISD was awarded a perfect score of 70.
