Trader Joe's opened its 400th store at 2805 Bee Caves Road in Rollingwood on Sept. 20.

The 11,000-square-foot grocery store offers more than 3,000 items under the Trader Joe's private label, making up about 80 percent of the goods sold, store Manager Chris Franklin said.

Trader Joe's began in the Los Angeles area in 1958 and has locations in 35 states. The grocery store is expected to bring in a large number of sales tax dollars to the city of Rollingwood, City Administrator Charles Winfield said.

Franklin said the store is excited to be a part of the community.
