District officials announced Sept. 17 that PISD is continuing its Alternative Certification Program that began in 2012. The district is specifically looking to recruit individuals to the program who are interested in Spanish and Vietnamese elementary bilingual education. The program provided the district with four bilingual elementary teachers last year, all of whom have been invited back for a second year.
Program information
- Orientation sessions will be held Oct. 2 and Oct. 23 at the PISD Administration Building, 1401 W. Pecan St.
- Applications will be accepted through Nov. 1.
