As of Sept. 25, the Sugar Land Cultural Arts Foundationa nonprofit dedicated to renovating the Sugar Land Auditorium and advancing the local artshas kicked off its bi-monthly series of highlighting other nonprofit organizations throughout the area.
The organization will host a dinner and presentation at Fernando's Steak House in Sugar Land from 5–10 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of every month. The restaurant has agreed to donate 10 percent of its profits to the nonprofit organization being featured.
The first event highlights ARTreach–Houstona Katy-based nonprofit that aims to bring art education to children and adults in need. Programs offered by ARTreach include mentoring programs for children and adults with special needs and children at risk and other community engagement initiatives.
