After a soft opening in August, Austin Custom Winery's new location in Sunset Valley is gearing up for a grand opening celebration, owner Mary Charron said.
The local business, which offers wines, wine-making accessories and gifts, relocated from its previous location in Oak Hill and has scheduled its grand opening for Sept. 21 beginning at 5 p.m.
"The Corvette Club has joined in with us, so there's going to be a car show," Charron said, adding the event will feature a live jazz band, food from Circle C Catering, and a cake from Sweet Treats bakery.
Charron said the opening will reinforce the importance of shopping locally.
"I support local," she said. "I'm a local business. I want people to buy from me and not from Spec's and Costco and Sam's. I like to use the local people, because they use me."
The grand opening also features a ribbon-cutting at 6 p.m. with Sunset Valley Mayor Rose Cardona, Charron said.
