The Round Rock Symphony kicks off its 2013–14 season with a Round Rock Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting Sept. 17 and its first concert Sept. 28.

The ribbon cutting is set to for 4 p.m. at Prete Plaza, 221 E. Main St., Round Rock.

The concert includes "Lux" by Joel Love, "Concerto for Cello in D Major" by Franz Joseph Haydn and featuring Francesco Mastromatteo on cello, "Sleepers Awake, from Cantata No. 140" with Charles Mallory on organ and "A Mighty Fortress is Our God" featuring the First United Methodist Church Round Rock choir as composed by Johann Sebastian Bach and the "Reformation Symphony" by Felix Mendelssohn.

The performance begins at 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Round Rock, 1004 N. Mays St., Round Rock. Tickets are $25–$35 for adults, $10 for students and seniors ages 65 and older, and free for children ages 5 and younger.
