Money Magazine ranked Pflugerville as one of the country's best places to live in its small town category.

Coming in at number 44, Pflugerville was one of three Texas towns to make the top 100 small towns list. When compiling the annual list, the magazine looks at cities' connectivity, financial status, housing and quality of life standards. Small towns are designated as cities with population numbers less than 50,000 residents.

Pflugerville earned its spot with its parks and recreation system, annual events and recognized school system. This year the magazine highlighted the city's year-round "pfestivals" as a draw for the city.

"For two consecutive years Pflugerville has placed in the top 50 small cities in America," Pflugerville Mayor Jeff Coleman said. "This year, Money [Magazine] recognized the love our residents have for our town and all of our 'pfests,' from Chili Pfest, to Deutschen Pfest to the Pfarmer's Market and Pfirecracker Pfestival, which all add to our small town feel and make Pflugerville a desirable place to live."
