The Leander ISD school board tabled the sale of $162 million in bonds for further consideration at its July 18 meeting.
The board discussed finance options for future construction needs including high school No. 6, elementary school No. 26 and security upgrades. However, Superintendent Brett Champion said an extended feedback period will allow board members more time to consider different options for the potential bond sale.
"We recommend the board not request action on this item, but instead, we will look at this at the first meeting in August," he said to the board. "That will allow time to get answers to any other questions you might have. If there are other ways we want to look at this, it gives us time to get the numbers and give them to you in a timely fashion."
