Free food and employers await the public at the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce 2013 Business Expo and Job Fair.

The free event for job seekers will be held 10 a.m. –3 p.m. Aug. 10 at Cedar Park High School, 2150 Cypress Creek Road.

The expo will include a job fair run by Workforce Solutions Rural Capital, a recruitment and employment agency created by the Texas Workforce Commission.

"We provide classes taught by experienced human resource facilitators on resumes, successful job searches and a website full with hiring employers and job seekers," said Craig Henry, a TWC business services representative.

Lyndee Matthews, director of programs for the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce, said after a time of change and challenge, the expo is coming back following requests from chamber members.

"It has always been well-attended and attracts over 2,000 people," Matthews said.

The event is funded by Cedar Parks Chamber of Commerce and attracts many employers such as insurance agencies, engineering firms and schools looking to hire a range of professionals, Matthews said. More than 70 booths featuring Cedar Park businesses are expected.
