Austin-based SolarWinds Inc., an IT management software company, announced June 7 that it plans to set up its new corporate headquarters on AMD Inc.'s former Oak Hill campus in 2014.
SolarWinds signed a 13-year lease for approximately 230,000 square feet on the campus with options to expand, according to a statement from the company.
"We are very excited that we identified a new location for our corporate headquarters that will accommodate our current and future growth plans," President and CEO Kevin Thompson said in the statement.
"Austin has been our home for eight years now, and the city's large talent base and affinity for innovative businesses has given us a great growth environment. It was important for us to remain here, to continue to grow here, and be a part of this community," he said.
Earlier this year, AMD sold its Oak Hill campus at 7171 Southwest Parkway and then leased space back from the property's new owners. Proceeds from the action will be used to fund business operations, according to AMD.
SolarWinds is currently located at 3711 S. MoPac, Bldg. 2.
