Big Red Express Car Wash purchased property at 11213 RR 222, next to the Four Points' Jiffy Lube on April 26, said seller Russel Moore, general partner of RMoore Family Partners.
Moore said he originally owned the entire tract that he subdivided into two parcels. Moore said he sold one of the parcels for the Jiffy Lube construction and had planned to construct his own car wash on the other parcel before deciding on selling it to Big Red.
Builder Ross Frie, president of Frie Planning, Development and Construction LLC who developed the site plan for project owner Thomas Sesny, said the Four Points location was selected because of "good demographics," a "high traffic count" and "demand for a car wash in that area."
City of Austin building permit documentation shows the proposed development of the 1.9 acre property will be the site of a 6,230-square-foot car wash. The property is located in the Panther Hollow watershed and aquifer recharge zone. The project's site plan is currently under review by the City of Austin Planning and Review Department.
