The City of Cedar Park launched an initiative in April to gather feedback from residents and businesses about how they would like to see the city transform during the next 20 years. The community engagement campaign, called Imagine Cedar Park, includes an open house at 7 p.m. May 6 at the Cedar Park Recreation Center, 1435 Main St.
The event will include a short introduction and presentation, followed by an opportunity for residents to share their ideas with city staff and consultants from Freese and Nichols, the engineering group selected to lead the project and design the city's master plan. The open house is an opportunity for residents to provide input about land use, attracting new employers, transportation, public facilities, utilities and quality of life at various dedicated stations.
City staff is encouraging residents to attend and also visit ImagineCedarPark.com to add comments and thoughts. Feedback gathered will be contributed to the ongoing master planning process, according to the city.
