More than 100 rare and exotic classic vehicles, sports cars, racing car and antique motorcycles will go under the auction hammer this weekend as the Houston Classic Weekend is set for the La Torretta Lake Resort and Spa, 600 La Torretta Blvd., in Montgomery.

The Houston Classic Auction, the highlight of the three days worth of events, will be May 4 at 11 a.m. The auction will run for most of the day. Among the cars featured at the auction include a 1966 Shelby 427 Cobra CSX3264, a 1950 Nash-Healey Roadster and a 1971 Dodge Hemi Challenger R/T Coupe.

The Concours d'Elegance of Texas on Sunday, May 5 includes a luxury car show that showcases some of the most elegant cars in the world, assembled from collections around the country. The cars will be judged for appearance, originality and provenance.

The Concours d'Elegance will feature cars designed by car designer and driver, Carroll Shelby, including the only 427 big block DragonSnake Cobra ever built. In addition, the show will feature the Ferrari 550 that broke the record for the Cannonball Run. Other cars featured at the Concours include a 1967 Shelby GT convertible, a 1969 Ford FT40 lightweight and a 1929 Rolls-Royce Cabriolet.

Public admission tickets are $20 for the auction and $20 for the Concours.
