With the opening of a Little Greek Restaurant franchise only about a month away, Lakeway residents will soon have another in-town healthy dining option.

The Little Greek Restaurant, based in Tampa, is classified as a "fast casual" eatery in which customers place their order at a counter and waitstaff delivers the food to the patrons' table, said Nick Vojnovic, Little Greek Franchise Development president. Vojnovic said that the Little Greek Restaurant, slated for 2422 S. RR 620, Ste. A-120, Lakeway, will seat about 30 to 40 customers and the West Austin location was chosen because there is nothing in the area like it—fast casual, he said.

Little Greek Restaurant features healthy food choices marked with a heart symbol and many menu options are accompanied by tzatziki, a mediterranean yogurt-based sauce.

Once opened, the 1,795 square foot Lakeway establishment will be Little Greek Restaurant's third Texas location with restaurants in Richardson and Willow Bend,Vojnovic said. Vojnovic said that Lakeway residents Cindy and Randy Dillon will own the restaurant. There are nine additional Little Greek Restaurant sites in Florida and a food truck in Dallas.

The Lakeway location will be open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. daily.
