H-E-B has purchased 15 acres of land at the corner of Tuckerton and Fry roads inside what will be known as the future 90-acre Cypress Creek Lakes Town Center.
Although there is not yet a timetable for the future store, the purchase was prompted by the area's continued population growth and density, said Cyndy Garza, public affairs director for H-E-B.
"As that community continues to grow, there are certainly opportunities for H-E-B and our growth," she said.
Within the last six months, H-E-B has opened two other stores in northwest Harris County, including one at the corner of Jones and West roads and another in Fairfield off Hwy. 290. The future Cypress Creek Lakes store would be the seventh H-E-B in the Northwest Houston area.
