Hutto ISD Filing for three places on the Hutto ISD board of trustees opened Jan. 30. Incumbents Doug Gaul, Billie Logiudice and Shelia Knapp will all seek re-election in May.
Gaul was first elected to the board in 2007 and has served as board president for the past three years. If re-elected, he said he would like to focus on developing a strategic plan for the ISD's future in finance, facilities and student education.
"I believe we are on a path to take Hutto ISD from a good school district to a great district for every student and staff member," Gaul said. "I want to continue to be a part of the transformation and growth and see Hutto ISD as one of the premier districts in the state of Texas."
Logiudice joined the board in 2010.
"My heart is for the kids and the people that have the ability to impact them every day, not just in academics, but also in character and community," Logiudice said.
Knapp, who joined the board in 2000, also confirmed she will run again.
"It's important to me to be involved in education in Hutto and to serve my community," Knapp said.
