Cafe/restaurant expands to three storefronts

Strange Brew Austin Coffee grew significantly in 2012.

In late December, the fair trade coffee restaurant expanded into the space of its former neighbor, Town Nails.

Strange Brew grew its cafe, study room and lounge area, which hosts performances by local musicians, barista Cory Ferrier said.

"We're just about twice the size that we used to be," he said.

Strange Brew also expanded its stage and added seating to its restaurant, according to Ferrier.

Company President Scott Ward opened Strange Brew in 2010.

Strange Brew is open 24 hours, and the menu includes bagels, croissants, wraps, pastries, teas, coffee, hot chocolate and local draft beers.
