Cindy and Matt Barber opened Longhorn Balls in February 2012 after moving to Austin 20 years ago. The company makes candy and chocolates and sells locally made products.

"We've been adding nostalgia candy and have old-time sodas such as Dad's Root Beer and the Dublin line," Cindy said. "It's been really fun having all this nostalgic candy and toys."

In 2013, Cindy hopes to expand the company's sales by focusing on getting the balls to other stores, and perhaps selling them online.

Cindy hopes to expand sales but will turn most of her attention to creating chocolate balls for everyone to enjoy, she said.
