Kyle restaurant offers extensive menu, begins expansion plans

When Frank Lai opened Koy Chinese & Sushi in 2010, Kyle was not a city known for its raw fish options.

But Lai brought with him more than two decade of experience as a chef and said there was a clear need in the city for healthy options.

The restaurant's specialties include sesame chicken ($10.25), General Tso's chicken ($10.25), beef broccoli ($9.25), sweet and sour chicken ($8.75), and sushi.

The sushi menu includes special rolls such as the dragon roll ($12.95)—softshell crab topped with eel and avocado—as well as a California roll ($6) and a spicy tuna roll ($7).

Lai said the support he has received from his customers has been overwhelming.

"I'm really proud because the customers love it, they enjoy the food," Lai said. "I don't know how to say it, but the customers appreciate that I'm here. No words can describe the feeling."
