Cedar Park–based ETS-Lindgren will consolidate its manufacturing operation from Glendale Heights, Ill., and relocate it to company headquarters, a spokesman announced Oct. 12.

The shift will result in 12–18 new employees relocating from the Chicago area to Cedar Park during the next four to six months. There is no need to expand the company's 115,000-square-foot facility, the spokesman said, following a 2006 expansion that created additional manufacturing space at the company's Arrow Point Drive facility.

Cedar Park currently hosts one of four ETS-Lindgren manufacturing facilities, which will be reduced to three as the test and measurement portion of Glendale Heights' operation shifts to Cedar Park. The company's medical product line will now be manufactured at an existing plant in Wisconsin, while the Chicago-area office will remain open for sales and support units and ETS-Lindgren engineers, the spokesman said.

ETS-Lindgren shifted its headquarters to Cedar Park in 2001. The company employs 750 people worldwide.
