Energy Alloys, LLC announced July 9 it is relocating its corporate headquarters to 3 Waterway Square in The Woodlands, becoming the latest in a line of energy-related companies to make the master-planned community its home.
Energy Alloys will lease 37,000 square feet of office space at 3 Waterway, which is under construction in the Town Center section of The Woodlands. Approximately 80 employees are making the move from the company's current office located at 350 Glenborough St. in Houston.
The employees making the move to The Woodlands in June 2013 include the executive team and numerous departments, including sales and marketing, human resources, finance, purchasing, market development, global supply chain and Energy OCTG.
Travis Scott, spokesperson for Energy Alloys, said the company is a provider, partner and problem-solver for oilfield metals to global oil and gas companies.
"We wanted to invest in the exceptional talent that has been a catalyst for our success," said Dave Warren, president and CEO. "By relocating our headquarters to The Woodlands and expanding our Houston Service Center office, we are committed to the next phase of our growth strategy and to the valuable employees who make it possible."
In addition to the corporate headquarters relocation, Energy Alloys previously announced the creation of a technology development center in Conroe that will house 80 more jobs.
Energy Alloys is also investing in a facility at its Houston Service Center, located at 9450 West Wingfoot Road near Hwy. 290, where approximately 25 employees will relocate.
Scott called The Woodlands a growing, centralized hub for energy companies such as Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Commute times and local amenities also played a role in Energy Alloys' decision to relocate.
"We chose The Woodlands because we desired a place where our employees would be proud to work, with endless amenities within walking distance," Warren said. "We welcome the opportunity to be active members in The Woodlands and Montgomery County communities and contribute to the economic growth in the area."
Joining Energy Alloys in the 3 Waterway office will be Waste Connections and Nexeo Solutions.
