The Texas State Comptroller's Office honored Dripping Springs ISD with a 2012 Gold Leadership Circle Award for transparency in early May.
The comptroller's office rates governmental bodies that make their financial records publically available and in a user-friendly format.
Superintendent Bruce Gering called the designation a meaningful honor.
"Especially in the area of finance, we strive to be highly transparent, which I believe builds trust with stakeholders," he said.
