This spring, Cy-Fair ISD received the highest Leadership Circle Award for the third year in a row.
The award is given through the office of the Texas Comptroller for Public Accounts, and it relates to financial transparency and the amount of information provided to the public and online by governmental entities. CFISD received 18 of 20 possible points, and eight of eight points to earn the gold designation.
Additionally, the district received an A- for the 2012 Sunny Awards, a contest which recognizes financially transparent websites from across the country. The Sunshine Review, a national nonprofit organization, looked at several issues to determine the grade, including the posting of meeting agendas and minutes, budgets, audit records, district accountability information and employee pay scales.
