The City of Oak Ridge North is looking to amend its development and zoning ordinances so that it can develop a small tract of land possibly for patio homes.

City Manager Vicky Rudy said that while the city allows multi-family development for a 2-acre tract on Alana Lane, the ordinances' language made development of the property nearly impossible.

While the ordinances allow for multi-family apartments, there are no such developments in the city and Rudy said there is not a demand for them.

"We're just looking at how we can make [the property] productive," Rudy said.
