The 2012 Keep San Marcos Beautiful Spring Concert Series continues March 29 at Plaza Park with performances by Phoebe Hunt and Shinyribs.

Heather Powdrill, KSMB coordinator, said attendance this year has reached about 1,000 visitors, with about 300–500 people coming to the park each night.

Casey Thistlewaite attended the March 22 concert with her husband, Mike, and dog, Stache.

"We were just driving by, and we saw the band setting up on our way to the dog park," she said. "It's just a gorgeous day, let's go enjoy it."

Sarah Pasemann and her family were attending the concert series for the first time.

"Perfect night, perfect weather—we love it," she said. "We lived here since '07, but for some reason or another we could never make it out. We're going to be going every time now."

The original first night of the series was canceled because of bad weather, and Powdrill said those performances have been rescheduled for April 12. The Saucerians will open, followed by The Georges.

The concert series begins at 7 p.m. and is free to the public. Lawn chairs, blankets and pets are welcome in the park, which is at 206 N. C.M. Allen Parkway. For more information, call 393-8400.
