The Central Texas Regional Mobile Authority and the Texas Department of Transportation will host an open house March 6 for the public to provide input on a proposal to add an express lane in each direction on MoPac.

In addition, attendees will learn where sound walls are being proposed and will be able to get more information on planned improvements for pedestrians and bicyclists. Project planners and engineers will be on hand to answer questions.

The transportation agencies will submit their proposal to the Federal Transit Authority in spring or summer. If approved, the agencies will begin to seek funding for the project.

The open house will be at the Dell Jewish Community Campus, 7300 Hart Lane, from 4–8 p.m. Attendees may come and go at their convenience.
