Businesses and community leaders awarded for service

At the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce 20th Annual Community Awards Gala on Feb. 4 at the Lakeway Resort and Spa, presented by Prosperity Bank, trophies were awarded to businesses and individual chamber members for their service to the community.

Nominations were made in each category prior to the event, with winners announced at the ceremony.

The winners were: Business of the Year, Lakeway Resort and Spa; Young Business of the Year, Community Impact Newspaper; Citizen of the Year, Steve Zbranak; Unsung Hero, Mallory Voorheis; Rising Star, Lakeway Elementary Act Club; Shining Star, Austin Families for Families; Volunteer of the Year, Paul Quinn; and Ambassador of the Year, Vlado Ruzicka.
