On the first Saturday in March, the streets of downtown Round Rock will be filled with 90 arts and crafts vendors, food vendors and nonprofit booths as part of a Market Days event that could become a regular series.
The event, which will take place March 3 from 9 a.m.–4 p.m., is the brainchild of Annie Urban and Sherri Arrington, two area residents who are patterning the event after Market Days in Georgetown and Marble Falls.
"Round Rock has never had it," Arrington said, pointing out that many of the vendors and visitors at other cities' events were actually from Round Rock. "That's why we've wanted to bring it to Round Rock."
While Round Rock's Market Days is only scheduled for March 3, Arrington said there is a possibility it could become a monthly event. If it does, they also plan to add live music performances in the future.
"We are hoping that the community will turn out for it, that the city will see that it's something that Round Rock has been wanting," Arrington said. "And of course, everyone coming out in droves and have a good time."
