O'Leander Caf has cooked up gourmet burgers, chicken fried steak, unique pasta dishes and pies since 2005. After a seven-month hiatus, the cafe reopened in December 2010 at the new location on South US 183.

"We wanted a place where people can come meet their friends, where they know the owners," owner Loretta Warner said. "We wanted a big family of people who like good food, and that's what we are the O'Leander family."

Now open for breakfast, Warren said the caf serves the same food she learned to cook when her parents owned a restaurant.

"Most of the recipes are my parents' recipes, and that's how it should be," she said.
