New Braunfels Utilities will be repairing a section of water infrastructure on Northpark Ridge beginning Aug. 7. Initially the project was anticipated to be completed Aug. 10, but NBU has announced the project will be extended until Aug. 16. The daily closures will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to NBU.

The 1000 block of Northpark Ridge will be closed to the public to maneuver equipment, materials and crews safely, NBU said in a news release.

Vehicular traffic should expect barriers and posted detour routes on South Walnut Avenue and McQueeney Road. Traffic will be detoured from South Walnut Avenue to County Line Road, then to Palace Drive, and back on Northpark Ridge. From McQueeney Road, traffic will be detoured to Palace Drive, County Line Road, South Walnut Avenue and back on Northpark Ridge, according to NBU.
