Wurstfest will be taking place in New Braunfels, with traffic impacts beginning Nov. 4 and concluding Nov. 13. The westbound lane of Landa Street will be closed to vehicular traffic but open to pedestrian traffic during Wurstfest from Zink Street to Landa Park Drive, according to the city of New Braunfels.

One lane on Landa Street under the railroad overpass will be closed by the Texas Department of Transportation to vehicular traffic, because the retaining wall is leaning and unsafe for pedestrians to walk near. To accommodate pedestrian traffic to and from Wurstfest in a safe manner, the city will close the westbound lane to vehicular traffic so it can be used for foot traffic.

The lane closure will take place on Nov. 4 from 2 p.m.-1 a.m.; Nov. 5 and 12 from 9-2 a.m.; Nov. 6 and 13 from 9 a.m.-midnight; and Nov. 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 from 3 p.m.-midnight.

Because of this, drivers are encouraged to drive an alternate route, such as Walnut Avenue to Landa Street.
