On June 23 the New Braunfels Transportation & Capital Improvements Department will host a public meeting regarding roadway impact fees, according to a press release.

The meeting will include a presentation about potential changes associated with the Roadway Impact Fee Program, which is a fee imposed on new development to pay for the construction or expansion of infrastructure facilities related to the development, according to city officials.

City staff is evaluating a tiered approach to raising the fee that was initially discussed in 2020 when the city adopted the fee.

At the meeting staff will provide background about the program, adopted and proposed collection methods and projects that have been funded by the program.

The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. at New Braunfels City Hall, located at 550 Landa St. For more information about traffic and engineering in the city, visit the department website.
