The road is closed while crews work to install a waterline for the NBU Castell Avenue 24-inch Water Line West Capital Improvement Project.
The improvement project began in April 2021, according to a release from NBU, and $14.7 million was set aside for the work.
Elizabeth Avenue was also temporarily closed due to the work and is slated to reopen to traffic on May 2.
Detours are in place to redirect vehicles around the closed roadways.
