The release said RAS is an Austin-based firm that provides asset management and mobile data collection services to local and state government agencies through the use of data collection vehicles.
The vehicles are equipped with digital cameras that will collect images of pavement and transportation-related infrastructure that will be used to create a digital image inventory the city can use to prioritize street repairs, according to the release.
The vehicles will travel all roads within New Braunfels through April and will only operate during daylight hours.
