New Braunfels officials will host an open house public meeting Nov. 15 to share information about the upcoming Goodwin Lane/Conrads Lane Improvement Project.

The meeting will be held at the New Braunfels Utilities Service Center, located at 355 FM 306, New Braunfels, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The $21.4 million project was approved by voters in the 2019 bond election, and it includes widening Goodwin Lane between FM 306 and Conrads Lane from two to three lanes.

Work will also include additional turn lanes, sidewalks and drainage improvements that are coordinated with NBU’s FM 306 Discharge Line & Pump Station Expansion Project, and the proposed Alligator Creek Trail Project.

Greg Malatek, public works director for the city, said work is expected to begin in the summer of 2022 and conclude in the summer of 2024.

City staff, NBU staff and project consultants will be available to answer questions about the project during the open house. For more information, visit the project website.
