Beginning Sept. 24, Ervendberg Road will be closed to through traffic while the Union Pacific Railroad bridge is replaced.
According to a Comal County news release, segments of Ervendberg Road north and south of the railroad bridge will remain open during the project, but the road will be closed entirely at the bridge.
The project is expected to last through October, and signs will direct drivers to detours along Edwards Boulevard, River Road, Loop 337 and Gruene Road.
Questions regarding the bridge replacement itself should be directed to Jay-Reese Contractors Inc. at 512-829-5360.
