The San Antonio and New Braunfels area remains a buyer’s market, according to the San Antonio Board of Realtors, as home sales have increased from 2018 to 2019.

According to a SABOR report, home sales in November in the San Antonio-New Braunfels metropolitan area rose by 3.8% in the last year. SABOR reported 2,493 homes sold in November 2019 compared to 2,474 homes sold in November 2018.

The average home sale price also rose 3.4% from $262,941 in 2018 to $266,926 in 2019, and the median sale price increased 2.2% in the same time frame from $227,000 to $230,000.

“We continue to experience year-over-year increases in home sales as 2019 comes to an end," said Grant Lopez, SABOR 2019 chairman of the board. "This illustrates an ongoing buyer’s market. Buyers are continuing to find properties that meet their needs, and there is still high demand for homes in the area.”

Home sales increases were seen throughout the state with an increase of 3.7% for a total of 24,364 homes sold in Texas during the month of November. The average home sale price in the state increased by 2.7%, and the median sale price statewide increased by 3.9%.
