In years past, city facilities and schools would close on the Friday of the fair weekend so community members could participate in the Comal County Fair Parade.
The closures were previously approved in the New Braunfels 2020 Holiday Schedule before the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
Schools in Comal and New Braunfels ISDs will be closed, as will City Hall, the Fischer Park Nature Center and the city’s recycling center.
The New Braunfels Public Library and the Westside Community Center will be closed Friday and Saturday.
New Braunfels Utilities’ offices and drive-thru will also be closed, but customers will still be able to make payments online or over the phone by calling 844-863-7360.
