The city of New Braunfels postponed its June 22 City Council meeting due to a possible COVID-19 exposure. A press release from the city did not offer details of that exposure, such as who may have been affected or how many people were exposed.

The meeting will be rescheduled for a future date that has yet to be determined.

City Council's Budget Retreat was scheduled for June 23 and was also postponed until further notice.

“These postponements are a precautionary step in an attempt to protect the health and safety of City of New Braunfels employees, members of City Council, and the general public,” said New Braunfels City Manager Robert Camareno. “We apologize for any inconvenience these delays may cause and we appreciate the patience of the public.”

The city will issue announcements once the meeting and retreat are rescheduled.
