In accordance with the latest safety guidelines issued by Gov. Greg Abbott and the Report to Open Texas, New Braunfels reopened playground, playscape facilities and additional park amenities on June 5.

Included in the reopening are the following facilities:

• Playgrounds and playscapes in all city parks


• The Fischer Park splash pad


• The Fischer Park Dino Dig area

According to a press release, the play spaces will be cleaned twice a week and those that choose to visit the areas should continue to practice social distancing, hand hygiene and cough etiquette.

The Landa Park Aquatic Complex remains closed and is set to reopen on June 10, though those plans are subject to change.
