The city of New Braunfels will continue to hold regularly scheduled City Council meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, but due to coronavirus concerns, the public is encouraged to watch remotely until further notice, according to a statement issued by the city March 20.
Council meetings are live streamed on the New Braunfels website, and residents can submit public comments to council members. The meeting is also available through the Government Access Channel (U-verse Channel 99, Spectrum Channel 21).
“As always, we welcome citizens to speak on agenda items as it shapes the decisions of the City Council,” Mayor Barron Casteel said in a press release. “However, to continue to provide a safe environment during the response to the coronavirus, the City Council agenda has been modified to provide alternative methods for citizen input.”
Questions can be submitted on the city's website, through email or by leaving a voicemail at 830-221-4299. Council members will receive all submitted comments prior to meetings.
