Incumbent Labowski secures additional term for District 5 City Council seat in New Braunfels

Incumbent Mary Ann Labowski will remain in the New Braunfels City Council District 5 seat, according to unofficial voting results from the May 2 general election.

With all precincts reporting, Labowski received 366 votes, or 52.59% of the vote. Her opponent Chase Taylor received 330 votes, or 47.41% of the vote, according to unofficial voting results.

There were a total of 4,703 ballots cast out of 54,972 registered voters, according to the Comal County elections website. Labowski won the District 5 seat in May 2023, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.
