Editor's note: This story was updated to reflect the now published sample ballot language for New Braunfels ISD Proposition A.

While there are 14 constitutional propositions on the statewide ballot Nov. 7, residents in New Braunfels ISD will also vote on whether to ratify the district’s new property tax rate. Below are important dates and addresses to know.

Dates to know
  • Oct. 23: First day of early voting
  • Oct. 27: Last day to apply for ballot by mail (received, not postmarked)
  • Nov. 3: Last day of early voting
  • Nov. 7: Election Day and the last day to receive ballot by mail (or Nov. 8 if carrier envelope is postmarked by 7 p.m. at location of election)

New Braunfels ISD Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election

Proposition A : Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $1.0419 per $100 valuation in New Braunfels Independent School District for the current year, a rate that will result in an increase of -14.6328% in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the district for the current year as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional -$10,813,002.
