After the filing period for the upcoming May election closed Feb. 18, a total of 12 candidates filed for two Comal ISD and three New Braunfels ISD trustee positions.

In New Braunfels ISD, six candidates filed for the District 1 and two at-large positions that will be on the ballot in May. The seats are currently held by Keith Smith, Wes Clark and David Heefner, respectively.
