During a March 26 board of trustees meeting, the tuition and fee schedule was approved, reducing tuition rates from $225 per credit hour to $180.

This new rate applies to students residing in the following counties:
  • Atascosa
  • Bandera
  • Comal
  • Guadalupe
  • Kendall
  • Kerr
  • Wilson
Alongside the decrease for residents of these counties, international students and students who have lived in Texas for less than 12 months will have tuition reduced from $476 per credit hour to $327, according to a March 26 news release.

Bexar County residents will not see a decrease in tuition, remaining at a rate of $109 per credit hour, district staff said.

“These tuition changes reflect our dedication to supporting our students and growing community needs,” Alamo Colleges District Chancellor Mike Flores said in the release. “As our service region grows, we remain committed to our moonshot of partnering to end poverty through education and training by providing quality education that empowers individuals and strengthens communities."
