The Comal ISD board of trustees on Feb. 24 approved a request made by district staff to begin the hiring process of additional teaching personnel for the 2022-23 school year.
Bobbi Supak, assistant superintendent of human resources for CISD, presented a request for approximately 65 campus-level positions needed to serve the growing district.
“These positions are needed in order to accommodate the projected 1,600 new students for the 2022-23 school year," Supak said. “We want to recruit early in anticipation of the district growth and find high-quality teachers.”
The board unanimously approved the request, and district staff are expected to make additional staffing requests later this spring, Supak said.
