The new rate is $0.0255 less than last year’s total rate of $1.2233 per $100.
Ahead of the Oct. 1 start of the fiscal year, NBISD maintained the debt service tax rate of $0.3258 per $100 valuation, and decreased the maintenance and operations tax rate to $0.8720 per $100 valuation.

The board on June 21 adopted a $108.1 million budget for fiscal year 2021-22, which included a general operating fund of $83.4 million, a food service fund of $3.2 million and a debt service fund of $21.5 million.
