On March 28, Resolute Health Hospital in New Braunfels announced the relaxation of visitor restrictions as local coronavirus case totals continue to decline.
Visitors will now be permitted to remain with patients between 9 a.m.-7 p.m., according to a press release from the hospital. Previously, visitors were only permitted for some patients as part of COVID-19 protocols.

In-person visits by a religious counselor are permitted when requested by the patient or the patient’s family or support person, but visitation by a minor under age 16 is not permitted.

Visits for patients in isolation for COVID-19 will be at the discretion of the attending physician, according to the release, and the visitor must wear personal protective equipment and be free of coronavirus symptoms or risk factors with the exception of exposure to the virus from the patient they are visiting.

All visitors must wear a mask at all times, wash or sanitize their hands, and remain in the patient’s room or other designated waiting rooms.

Individuals with symptoms of COVID-19 or who have been in close contact with someone who tested positive for the virus will not be allowed to visit the hospital.
