New Braunfels Public Library announced today, April 8, that its full online catalog and resources would be available to those who submit an application for an "internet card."

The cards are available to anyone in New Braunfels and the San Antonio metro area who applies during the current closure. Once the library reopens, standard eligibility will resume, according to a press release.

A "signup" link is available on the library's website and library staff will contact applicants to distribute login credentials. Staff members are working on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and applications submitted over the weekend will be processed on the next business day..

Once the library's closure ends, internet card holders can visit the library with their government issued photo ID to convert their membership into a standard library card with a permanent card number.

Standard eligibility is a city resident, an extraterritorial jurisdiction resident or anyone with a New Braunfels address.
